Infusion Center

IV infusions can provide effective relief for those suffering from chronic conditions.

The Cohen Center offers various infusion-based medications that are highly effective in treating rheumatological disorders. These infusions are administered in-office, under the close supervision of a registered nurse using an IV. Our infusion center is equipped with 10 specially designed infusion chairs for maximum patient comfort. For greater privacy, we also offer two private infusion rooms.

What Are Infusions?

IV infusion therapy is an alternative to taking vitamins orally. Infusions are commonly used to improve vitamin concentrations in the body through the intake of supplements via a sterile catheter. Though traditionally used by hospitals to treat dehydration, the practice has in recent years become more available to the public. At Cohen Medical Centers, we utilize IV infusions for the treatment of certain rheumatological concerns and disorders.

Infusion Benefits

IV infusions can provide effective relief for those suffering from chronic conditions. The type of infusion and its benefits is highly dependent on specific patient needs. Bemlysta, for example, is an IV treatment used to address active systemic lupus erythematosus in adults. This infusion works by reducing certain cells in the immune system that can make lupus active. Similarly, Reclast is a treatment used for osteoporosis management and can help reduce pain and increase bone mass. When you come in for treatment, your IV infusion type will be designed to adhere to your needs.
